WHAT WE DO
Our Mission and Goals
At Ken Hill Health Center, we are committed to bringing compassionate care and vital support to Hood County’s uninsured community. Through collaborative efforts with volunteers and donors, we deliver accessible medical services, meaningful educational outreach, and community-driven assistance—because everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive.
To provide high quality healthcare and social services to uninsured Hood County residents, through the generosity of donors and volunteers.
Originally known as Ruth’s Place Clinic, the Ken Hill Health Center is a non-profit clinic operating since 2009 to meet community health needs.
All of our doctors and many of our clinical staff are volunteers. We are here because we care about your health!
Building a Healthier, Stronger Community Together
Through compassionate care, dedicated volunteers, and engaging community events, Ruth's Place is committed to meeting needs, inspiring hope, and creating lasting change in Hood County.
Medical Clinic
The Ken Hill Health Center provides no-fee for service, high-quality healthcare for uninsured individuals in Hood County. From pediatric to adult care, our volunteer providers deliver treatment with dignity, respect, and a personal touch.
Volunteer
The Ken Hill Health Center is always looking for volunteers. The most immediate need is clinical (MD, DO, PA, or NP) but we also need nurses, CMA, clerical help, organizing, heavy lifting, transportation, even flower bed help! Let us know your expertise and we will put you to work!
Community Partners
We are here to treat the whole patient, not just their healthcare needs. We collaborate with and refer patients to other local non-profit organizations to ensure all non-medical determinants of health are addressed.
“Your skills can change lives — join Ruth’s Place as a volunteer and make a lasting impact in our community.”
